겸재 정선 특별전 – 조선의 산천, 붓끝에 깃들다

호암미술관 2025 봄 특별전

한국 진경산수화의 거장, 겸재 정선.
그의 눈과 붓이 담아낸 조선의 풍경은 단순한 경치가 아니라

경기도 용인에 위치한 호암미술관에서는
조선 후기 회화를 대표하는 대가, 겸재 정선(1676–1759)의 특별전이 열리고 있습니다.
총 165점의 작품을 한자리에서 만날 수 있는,

The master of Korean landscape painting, Gyeomjae Jeong Seon,
captured the essence of Joseon's mountains and rivers not through imagination,
but by observing nature itself—brush in hand, heart wide open.

This spring, Ho-Am Art Museum in Yongin, Korea, presents a rare opportunity to experience his legacy up close.

 Who Was Gyeomjae Jeong Seon?

Born in 1676, Jeong Seon pioneered true-view landscape painting (jingyeong sansuhwa),
breaking away from the Chinese style to depict real Korean scenery as he saw it.
His works reflect a deep sensitivity to nature and an appreciation of Korea’s unique terrain and spirit.
