Artist Introduction: Tom Sachs

Born in New York in 1966, Tom Sachs is an American contemporary artist who works across various media including sculpture, installation, architecture, and design. His works appear meticulous at first glance, yet carry raw and handcrafted traces that are deliberately exposed. Sachs often uses everyday, unrefined materials such as plywood, foam board, silicone, and tape, intentionally avoiding industrial polish in favor of highlighting the manual process behind each piece.
